Another program implemented this past summer was a photography class lead by a local professional photographer named Anna Kinchen. The mission of the project was to build a sense of community among youth while also providing them with a creative outlet for their emotions and ideas. The class provided the each child with tools to create their own artwork, all the while giving them the opportunity to be productive, use their imaginations, collaborate with others and build a foundation of confidence and self worth. The climax of the summer photography class concluded with an art show of which the students displayed and described the details of their artwork to the community.
